Buffalo Wings | Serious Cowboys | Serious Fitness Portfolios
Buffalo Wings is a slice-of-life funny animal college comic I began in college in the early 1990s. Originally published in Yarf! fanzine, and then the Wild Life anthology comic, it was dormant for over a decade before being picked up by Sofawolf Press.
To be published in June, Buffalo Wings Annual 2006 will be the first book of new material published by Sofawolf. The story picks up where the previous series left off: Cliff wrestles with the karmic repercussions of his past actions, as Stuart and Sarah chart a new course in their relationship. Also, Stuart's childhood friend Josh transfers to Boxen University. This first book includes artwork by John Nunnemacher and Vince Suzukawa (Class Menagerie, I.S.O.), plus contributions by Brian Reynolds, Brian Yee, and Theo Bain (The Gimoles). Future books will feature work by artists like Jimmy Chin, Marci McAdam, Sue Rankin, Tracy Reynolds, and more.
Also available from Sofawolf Press are Buffalo Wings Reunion Volume One (published July 2004), collecting the complete series published in Yarf!, and Volume Two (published January 2005), collecting the complete series published in Wild Life that the new annual series continues. These books also contain work by Jimmy Chin and Vince Suzukawa, and include miscellaneous Buffalo Wings material from over the years.
